Visiting the office

Every assessment happens in person, in Nolensville, Tennessee.

About thirty minutes from the Nashville airport. Here is what the trip looks like: the first call, the days in Nashville, and the follow-up before you head home.

NashvilleA city worth building a trip around.

The rhythm of a visit

Three days, sequenced around your flights.

Most out-of-town patients plan on three to four working days in Nashville. Here is how they are spent.

Day 01
A treatment operatory at The Burkitt Center

The biological assessment

Three hours in the chair. The full diagnostic workup runs. We sit with you, we run the tests, and we collect the data your case will be built around.

Day 02
A consultation room at The Burkitt Center

Case presentation with Dr. Will

Two hours with Dr. Will. He has been in your file between visits, and he walks you through what every reading means and the plan he has built for you.

Day 03
Arriving at The Burkitt Center reception

Worth the extra day

  • Live music, every night. More than 180 venues across the city, and free shows every night of the year.
  • Lower Broadway. Honky-tonks with live bands from the afternoon deep into the night. Robert’s Western World, the readers’ pick, is the old-school room.
  • The Ryman and the Opry. The 1892 tabernacle that became the Mother Church of country music, and the radio show that has run since 1925.
  • The Parthenon. Centennial Park’s full-scale replica, built for the 1897 exposition.
  • Hot chicken. Nashville’s own dish. Prince’s Hot Chicken is the family credited with starting it.

Closer to the office

  • Downtown Franklin. A fifteen-block historic district and a Great American Main Street Award winner, one town over.
  • Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. Whole-hog barbecue that started in a Nolensville shack in 2006, up Nolensville Road from the office.
  • The airport run. Nashville International is about thirty minutes from the practice, so a late flight out still leaves room for one more show.

  • A list of prior dental work. Root canals, implants, crowns, fillings, and roughly when each was done.
